Recently an member of the Statsauto team ventured out to Iceland for an eventful vacation. Little did he know that Iceland was full of rare and expensive cars especially in the SUV segment. As you can imagine given the rugged nature of Iceland there were some serious SUVs out there.

Here are a photos of some of the cars that caught our attention!

Produced since 1951 this is a stunning Fifth generation Nissan Patrol. This SUV driven mainly by off road enthusiasts all over the world from the Arctic circle to the desserts of Dubai. Too bad these cars car extremely rare in North America.

For the 2005 - 2013 year a significant facelift model was released, with new headlights, box flares on each guard and larger tail lights. This particular car showed beautifully with its clean modifications and gold color.

This Nissan Patrol caught our attention from a long distance away! For good reason its a extreme off roader. Look at those tires! From driving on glaciers to scaling Icelandic volcano’s, this car can tackle any terrain.

Who knew Iceland has American muscle cars? Lets just say on this Sunday afternoon there was a parade of them. Most notably over 10 classic Mustangs in a row. We just happened to get a picture of this clean muscle car, but there was a lot of them!
